This is a recipe for the easiest and best Arnold Palmers! The perfect blend of unsweetened black tea with sweet lemonade – thirst quenching and perfect for Summer!
For reference, I use the delicious Organic Decaf Black Tea flavor of Clipper Tea in this recipe. Clipper Tea kindly sponsored me to make an Instagram Reel that you can view HERE, however, they did not compensate me for this blog post and all opinions are my own!
Happy Friday, friends! What better way to celebrate a warm Spring weekend than with a pitcher of these Arnold Palmers?!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
I love a fun drink – and this is specifically a mocktail drink that the WHOLE family can enjoy.
Not only is it a mocktail (aka no alcohol included) but it’s also made with one of my favorite teas, Clipper’s Organic Decaf Black Tea!

This flavor is one of my favorites because it’s smooth, rich and has no bitter aftertaste.
And the best part? No caffeine – yay! This makes it a perfect drink to have with your dinner or even midday for a fun treat.
For this recipe, I kept the tea unsweetened. I think it’s best that way because the lemonade is sweet enough. However, if you are a sweet tea lover….I understand! You can certainly sweeten it if you’d like.

The tea is this perfectly smooth and aromatic beverage – combined with the tart lemonade, it’s the perfect blend!
When it’s served over ice, it’s incredibly thirst quenching and the perfect drink to have in the sunshine.
Ingredients You Need:
Clipper Organic Decaf Black Tea – this is the specific brand I love, however, you can use whatever black tea you prefer.
Water – you will use this to add to the tea.
Store Bought Lemonade – Use a lemonade that has as few ingredients as possible, something like lemon juice, water and sugar!
Ice – a must have!
Mint – I love to garnish it with fresh mint.
Lemon – I also love to squeeze a fresh lemon in the pitcher.
Pitcher Size I Used:
I used this 90 oz pitcher that I got from Target (not a paid link).

Feel free to use whatever pitcher you might have on hand. I would say for me, I think that the perfect balance is half tea and half lemonade. If you want it less sweet, you can use less lemonade.
Do you want it sweeter? Use more lemonade OR sweeten your tea.
How to Make Pitcher Arnold Palmer:
- Add 2 cups of water to a medium size pot. Bring it to a boil and add 5 bags of the black tea and remove from the heat. Let this steep for 4 minutes and then remove the tea bags.
- To the pot of brewed tea, add 4 cups of water. Place in the fridge to allow it to cool. Once cooled, add the tea to a large pitcher (about halfway) and top the remaining half with lemonade. Add the juice of one large lemon. Stir. Taste and if it needs sweetener, add more lemonade.
- Serve over ice in individual cups. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint.
- If you want to serve the drink immediately instead of refrigerating it, simply add the brewed tea to the pitcher followed by the lemonade. Add ice to the cup you plan on serving it in and then top with the drink.
How to Make Individual Drinks:
You can always serve these two drinks (the brewed tea and lemonade) separately and let people adjust it to their own taste buds!
For example, you could have a pitcher of the brewed tea separate from the lemonade.

Add ice to the cup you’d like to serve it in and then allow your guests to choose the ratio of tea to lemonade that they want.
Ingredient Substitutions:
If you want your tea sweet, simply add about ¼-⅓ cup of granulated sugar to the tea once it has steeped. Taste and if you want it sweeter, add more.
You can absolutely make homemade lemonade to use for this recipe! For ease, I love to use store bought.

This drink is a mocktail, but if you want to add alcohol, I would recommend vodka! I would recommend adding individual shots to each drink vs directly in the pitcher.
Storing Leftovers:
If you have any leftover Arnold Palmer, store in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. When ready, enjoy with ice in the sunshine!

*HOWEVER YOU DECIDE TO SERVE THE DRINK.....I personally think that HALF TEA and HALF LEMONADE works best. So whether you serve it in a pitcher, individual glasses etc...I think that 50/50 is the best ratio.
