Loaded with fresh blueberries, this Blueberries and Cream Oatmeal is thick, creamy and so delicious! Top with a splash of cream to taste an elevated version of the childhood classic you love!
In a medium size pot, add the oats, milk, honey, vanilla extract and blueberries. Place the pot on medium heat and stir to combine.
Let cook on low/medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it’s thickened to your desired consistency.
If desired, use the spoon you are stirring the oatmeal with to pop the blueberries.
Once your desired consistency is reached, taste and adjust if needed. Add additional sweetener, more spice etc. Add a splash or two more milk if you prefer your oatmeal more thin.
Dish out into bowls, garnish with sliced almonds, chia seeds, extra blueberries and of course, a generous splash of heavy whipping cream. Enjoy and eat while warm!
If you desire your oatmeal thinner, add more milk! Adjust the consistency/sweetness as needed.
