Cheesy Naan Breakfast Pizzas

These Cheesy Naan Breakfast Pizzas are everything you want for breakfast and more! They're loaded with cheese, crispy sausage, veggies and topped with a runny egg!

Ingredients

  • 1 piece garlic naan bread
  • 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese (or sharp white cheddar cheese)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/3 cup of cooked breakfast sausage
  • 1 egg
  • fresh basil and red pepper flakes to garnish (optional)
  • 1/2 jalapeno, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

  2. Cook your breakfast sausage in a skillet until done. Dice red onion and jalapeno. Set aside.

  3. Add naan bread to a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil on top. Add 1/3 cup of cheese and spread it across the naan. Add on the sausage, diced red onion and jalapeno. Leave a small hole in the middle of the crust for the egg. Crack the egg in the middle of the naan. Sprinkle on remaining 1/3 cup of Italian cheese (be sure not to cover the egg!). Add a sprinkle of salt on top of the egg yolk.

  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until whites of egg have cooked through. Garnish with crushed red pepper flakes and fresh basil if desired. Enjoy immediately! 

Recipe Notes

Even though my sausage was fully cooked, I did saute it for a few minutes in a pan prior to putting it on the pizza for further caramelization. You don't have to do this - just wanted to be transparent :)
