My favorite season has arrived! Hello, Fall! I love the cooler weather, the cozy sweaters, the holidays that soon follow…but two of my favorite things about Fall fully coincide: football season and SNACKS!!!
Now, I won’t lie, for many years, I avoided football. I got waaaay too involved and invested in the games and it would always end up giving me heart palpitations! Haha! But now, I’ve come to realize that there is nothing that screams “Fall is here!” more than watching the game with your friends alongside some delicious food.
For the past few years, my family and friends get together at the beginning of football season. Since the weather has significantly cooled down, we head outside in our front yard and play a game of touch football! To make it extra interesting, the game is always girls vs. guys. Friendly competition ensues and it’s always SUCH a fun time! This year, the girls won! Victory! Not going to lie, I was pretty pumped about it!
Afterward, we always head back in and refuel with some of our favorite football snacks. This year, to get in the football spirit, I made these amazing Touchdown OREO Caramel Blondies!
Not only is this treat extra simple to make, it’s also 100% delicious! The base is a thick chocolate chip cookie layer (with OREO Cookies mixed into the dough), a large drizzle of caramel in the middle topped with more OREO Cookies! If you guys know me, you know how much I love OREO Cookies and this is literally my dream dessert! To make it extra special, cut these into football shapes and pipe some frosting laces onto them! They’re super cute and a huge crowd pleaser!
I made sure to buy everything to make this delicious recipe at my local Harris Teeter.
Let’s get into how to make them!
Ingredients you need to make Touchdown OREO Caramel Blondies:
- 8 OREO Cookies (of course!), divided
- 1 pkg. of your favorite dark chocolate chip cookie mix (or your favorite homemade recipe)
- ¼ cup caramel sauce (I used the Harris Teeter private label brand)
- 1 Tbsp. ready-to-spread cream cheese frosting
How to make Touchdown OREO Caramel Blondies:
Begin by preheating the oven to 375° F. Line a 9×9 baking pan with aluminum foil, with ends of foil extending over sides, and then spray with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, begin by preparing your chocolate chip cookie dough as directed on package. Once the dough is ready, chop 4 OREO Cookies and stir them in.
Gently spread the chocolate chip cookie layer on the bottom of the foil in the pan until it’s evenly spread in the pan.
Next, drizzle the caramel sauce over top of the cookie layer. Swirl it into the dough gently with a knife.
Lastly, finely crush another 4 OREO Cookies and spread it over top of the caramel. Gently press into the dough to secure.
Bake these for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes clean out of the center. Be careful NOT to overbake!
Once the Touchdown OREO Caramel Blondies are done, it’s time to have some fun with them! Let them cool completely. Using foil handles to remove dessert from the pan; Use a sharp knife to cut dessert into 15 football shaped blondies! Reserve trimmings for snacking or another use. Spoon frosting into pastry bag fitted with small writing tip. Use to pipe laces on footballs.

Seriously though, how cute are these?! Serve them on a platter and you and your family and friends are ready to eat up!
Tips and Notes:
- Not sure what to do with those delicious blondie trimmings? Coarsely chop and use as an ingredient in your favorite trifle or parfait! Or better yet, serve with ice cream! YUM!
- Want a little something extra in your blondies? Sprinkle ½ cup of chopped pecans over dough in the pan along with the crushed cookies. It adds a delicious crunch!
- You can most definitely use your favorite milk chocolate chip cookie mix if you aren’t a fan of dark chocolate.
- Lastly, you can certainly use a football shaped cookie cutter instead of cutting them out with a knife.
