I won’t even lie to y’all, I’m 100% over the moon for this Peanut Butter Oreo Smores pie. This pie is the satiation I need for my sweet tooth.

And great news!

If you’re like me and the thought of baking an actual pie scares the heck out of you – this is the PERFECT Holiday dessert for you!

Why This Pie is the BEST:

So I originally based this pie off of my mama’s peanut butter pie that she makes. It’s always SO amazing. It’s sweet, creamy, rich and just plain delightful. I knew I wanted that same peanut buttery deliciousness to be my base. However, I also knew that I wanted to step up my game a little bit.

It’s no secret to any of my family that my absolute favorite thing in life is making smores. There is just something about being around a campfire, the ooey gooey marshmallow, the chocolate all over your hands and spending time with loved ones that makes my heart melt.

So, for this pie, I wanted to recreate that smores feeling without all of the sticky marshmallow hands.

It is most definitely one of my favorite things I have ever made, not to mention one of the easiest!

Why is it so easy you ask?! Hello no bake pies! Yup!

No bake pies give me heart eyes. They’re so simple and easy but people think you’ve gone above and beyond to make it! Win win!

This pie has an amazing buttery oreo crust (aka the best sandwich cookie of all time!) and is loaded with lusciously creamy peanut butter filling that you will straight up want to eat with a spoon.

And of course, for the smores element, I couldn’t leave out the graham crackers, the marshmallows and the melty chocolate!

Combine it all together and you have a rich slice of decadently thick pie that will be the star of the show in your Thanksgiving spread!

Ingredients You Need:

  • Oreos
  • Salted Butter
  • Peanut Butter
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Softened Cream Cheese
  • Cool Whip
  • Mini-Marshmallows
  • Honey Graham Crackers
  • Melted Chocolate

Best Pie Making Tips:

A few tips for success (even though honestly this is the easiest pie ever so you probs won’t even need them):

Let your homemade crust sit in the freezer while you’re preparing the peanut butter filling! This will ensure that it hardens up perfectly within your pie pan and doesn’t crumble all over the place.

You can make this the night before, I would just potentially recommend to wait and add the smores toppings (i.e. melted chocolate, marshmallows + graham cracker crumbs) until the day OF because the graham crackers + marshmallows can get a little bit soggy. In addition, you want the chocolate to have that freshly melted vibe, right? Right.

This babe is extremely rich! I recommend only a sliver of a serving size, unless you want to share it with someone!

I love how all of the elements work together so well. The buttery oreo crust, the sweet peanut butter filling and then topped with all of the most delicious smores goodies. The crunch of the graham cracker adds great texture, as does the soft pillowy marshmallows.

Of course, the cherry on top, so to speak, is the melted chocolate that ties everything together. It’s amazing. Delicious. I can’t rave enough about it!

Make it. Love it. Live it. Yeah, it’s a lifestyle apparently. Enjoy! Xo.

Prep Time 15 minutes
Fridge Time 1 hour
Servings 10

Ingredients

Homemade Oreo Crust

  • 1 14-15 oz. package oreos
  • 4 tbsp melted butter

Creamy Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 container cool whip

Smores Toppings

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • 4 graham crackers, crushed
  • marshmallows to top

Instructions

For the Oreo Crust

  1. Add oreos to your food processor. Pulse until the texture is fine crumbs. Add to a large bowl. Add in your melted butter and mix until combined. Press this into a 9 inch pie dish, making sure to spread it to let it cover the entire pie dish, including the sides. Set in freezer while you make the peanut butter filling.

For the Peanut Butter Filling

  1. Using a stand or a hand mixer, Mix together the powdered sugar, peanut butter and softened cream cheese together in a large bowl. Add in your  cool whip and whip until smooth. Add this to your oreo crust and smooth it out with a rubber spatula.

For the Smores Topping

  1. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-30 second increments until smooth. Add marshmallows to cover most of the pie, leaving a little bit of peanut butter filling to be seen. Drizzle the melted chocolate directly onto the pie. Lastly, add your crushed graham crackers on top.

  2. Let sit in fridge for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Note: If you're prepping this pie for the next day, you can let it sit overnight and then add the smores toppings (the chocolate, graham crackers, marshmallows) the day you will be eating it. It makes sure the toppings retain their texture.

  1. Hi, couple questions: what package size of oreos did you use? I looked up the standard size which is 14.3 oz or 45 cookies. That amount filled my 9in deep dish pie pan. What size pie pan did you use?
    Thanks

    1. Hi Yvonne! I believe I used the 14.3 oz size – but there are also 15.25 packages that would work fine! 🙂 The pie pan I used is 9 inches. Just updated this info in the recipe card too! XO
